Hello and welcome to the Life of Wong or as I like to put it “The Wong Life”. If your questioning about my last name, to answer it… YES, that is my real name. I did not make it up or change it. I can prove it on my drivers license and even my birth certificate.
So I know when people meet me they always ask “so how did you get that last name?” or “Is your name really Wong?” or my personal favorite “Are you really asian?” And I proudly respond, “YES! “. I mean when they first see me they see a young black man with dreads and it simply puts them in a state of shocks. I absolutely love it.
So here is the story of how I originally became who I am today.
For those who have all been wondering, here is the moment of clarity. I am Jamaican Chinese. (Everyone exclaims in awe “ohhhhhhh”) All mi Jamaican Chiney bredren standup and Bigup. My family is originally from the island of Jamaica, but my great grandfather was from China. Two complete opposites, right? Well, you will be surprised how many Chinese Jamaicans are from there and live in Jamaica. Personally I love my nationality mix. Its such a beautiful mixture, especially when I see the women lol.
So now that you know a little bit about my background, here is some more knowledge on why I’m creating this blog. I wanted to have something to chronicle my adventure through life and record my ups and downs as I venture towards my goals in business, my personal life, and most important, my dreams. I’m hoping to share my story with others so that it may inspire some and influence others who have goals and dreams they want to see come true. Showing that they anyone is capable of achieving them, and if they can learn from either my success or failures then I will gladly be a visual for those who had questions of how. I know I have growing up.
I really just want to create and do things that I enjoy and find amazing while finding some people who will enjoy interests as I do and share it. When it comes to the end goal I would love to be making animation movies.
So If you’re interested in diving in and learning more about the Wong Life. Sit tight and stay tuned to what is to come. As I learn and build I will be sharing as much as possible each step attaining a life only dreamed about. I don’t want to continue to be a man living a life that will have regrets looking back not reaching the full potential I believe we all are capable of tapping into if we really dig deep and put in a little extra work from the ordinary. I think thats what makes you extraordinary. 😁
