Develop Your Front End Code To Life

I know when many first here the title of this post it can throw many off for a spin. Well, in my thoughts and research I would like to expound on exactly what I mean.I was thinking the other day on how I wanted to create my life as a front end web developer then how I would like to be known as one. Then the thought occurred to me "how does front end in itself play a role in my life?" This lead to many thought trails of what is the make up of front end and life itself.I saw many similarities in both, if you really think about it. I know it did for me and I will explore how I am applying this new principle to my life and how I think you can too from a Front End perspective.I mean that's what this blog is all about right? So by the end of this post I will answer the 3 questions

  1. What do I mean?
  2. How can I do this? and
  3. What are the benefits?

So to start things off I will begin with

What Do I Mean?

For me, to answer this questions some definitions need to be put in place. First what is a Front End Web Developer?A front end developer can be described as a person who writes code from the back end to create the overall look and feel (the design) of how a site looks. Along with some special features to add interactivity to the site. This is a basic overview of what a front end developer does, with the exception of knowing more coding languages to enhance the site, but this is the gist. Now that you know the gist, let's think about the different elements when it comes to front end. There is code needed to develop the look of the site, direction on what and how you want the placement of certain elements of a page, and of course how users will interact with it when visited or seen.I began to translate these thoughts into reality and more importantly my life.If you think about it we as humans are not that far off from computers. In fact the human mind is greater than any computer out there. Fact computers need us to be operated. So if this is the case, why don't we "program" (code) our minds to design it into a life that we want to display when people see us on the front end.A man by the name of Earl Nightingale once said "Our environment is a reflection of our true selves". I can say the same for the body as well.So the question to ask is, When you look at your life or around your environment, ultimately, are you happy of what you see represented? If not, then we have the option to change that. Our happiness is up to us and no one outside of us can hinder that.If we are wired and coded (our DNA) to function a specific way, then what is stopping us from achieving those ambitions and goals we set out to reach. For me I know I had to stop, look around and think of these very same things to why my environment was not contributing to my true happiness. I thought then "There has to be change within me!". That's when I decided to fully devote myself to this thing called Front End Web Development and all the benefits it can offer me.

How Can This Be Done?

Earl Nightingale also said, just in case you haven't noticed he is one of my favorite speakers to listen to, "what you sow you will reap". Even though I heard this many times in my life it did not register until I heard "The Strangest Secret"

It does not matter what you sow, good or bad, your life will be the accumulation of all the things you have sowed in your mind and life. I took a look at my life and said "wow I'm here because I did not sow into the things I wanted". I had no direction, no guidance, and no plan. I just let life drift by and take me where it wanted really. No more, it's not to late, even though time is still going. I finally decided what I wanted and created a plan on how I was going to go about attaining my goals. Of course plans can be subject to change but the ultimate goal remains the same and I will put all my eggs in this one basket of front end development. So first thing was, I did not like how my body was beginning to fall apart. So I began to dedicate myself to a workout routine to start getting in shape and healthy. Working out not only helps you to stay healthy but actually can improve motivation, clarity, and give your mind focus to achieve other things. When you begin to see results from your workout you only want to do more and then you begin thinking of other ways you can see results in your life. It did for me. Whether it be your finances, career, or relationships. All of it is up to you and the decisions/choices you make. One thing I will say for the key to your success in any endeavor you decide to embark in is...

Learn To Be Consistent!

Consistency overtime will win in any race. Also learn to adapt. Do your research, see what has worked for you or others and begin learning to implement it into your life. If it works great push and grow.Consistency over time has lead to me becoming disciplined. Anything learned can become a skill or even a habit. Working out is now apart of my lifestyle. Even writing this blog has now become a regular thing. Not only do I want to learn something about Front End Web Development, but I wont to be known as the guy of F.E.W.D. And one way I know I can do this is through the writing of this blog and consistently over time I believe it will be recognized and a valuable resource for others.Of course I did and am doing my research on how others have paved the way and now it's my turn.Dreams and GoalsSo I talked about consistency and how it can lead to discipline, but why is this important or how can it play a role. You have a dream right? Or maybe you had one and began to give up on it when life began to hit you: bills, family, job security, and deciding what your gonna eat.I mean life does happen. It will continue to go on right? So, how will you achieve these so called dreams or is it something that happens only when you fall asleep, if you still even get to dream then...those are sad moments.Well here is one way–defining your dream into a goal. I heard this quote that said a dream is only a goal with no deadline or a goal is a dream with a deadline. You get my point. Either way you begin to set specific dates and timeframes when you want to see these goals come to life.Your dream may be big but begin by creating small incremental goals so you can keep track of your progress and where you want to go. This is where discipline and consistency come into play. Say you want to learn front end web development : ) I had to stick to the topic lol, You do your research, find out ways you can learn the technology and languages to become one, and you carve out one hour everyday or every other day. However you can set you schedule to dedicating to learning this field. You do this consistently over time and you will be shocked how far you have gone and how your life is beginning to change.Of course more time in can result in faster results depending on when you set your deadline. See how a deadline and a simple and easy plan can lead to a life change.I've done it! and still doing it.Do this in any area of your life and I believe you can achieve anything or any goal you want overtime.Consistency is the key.Now

What Are the Benefits?

The benefits in my book are endless. I'm going to give you a sneak peek of what I try to listen to every morning. It's from the great "philosopher" Will Smith lol its deep!!!

Have you ever wanted to be known as great in something. Well its not hard. I believe, along with reading about it, that the masters and well known greats, stuck to one thing and dedicated themselves to this one thing and that was it. They specialized in one area before branching out, if so, into anything else. With that you can see how their lives were changed, relationships, reputation, happiness and let's not forget their finances. This one I'm going for especially I can't lie.In rich dad poor dads game "cashflow" there is a quote that says "Money is not the most important thing in life, but seems to affect everything that is important." Earl also quotes when people say "money won't make you happy "but the earning and possession of money has brought a lot more happiness than has poverty". For me I know I feel better when I know I have more in my account than when it's just for bills. If you don't know I do like to eat. so I'm happy when I have extra. What are some other benefits besides being great at something? You see, results in your life can result in a better environment. Goals have been reached, you gain confidence from your successes, and your attitude changes. When your attitude begins to change, your environment will begin to as well or at least you will, in order for you to create a better environment for you and your family. Which can be a major benefit in itself and can be a lot of people's reason for becoming better. Yet it still needs to be an inward thing. You personally have to decide why and how. Thus with all these things having a domino affect it results in a new life and lifestyle. How's that from looking at life from a front end perspective?

So Let's Recap

Your life from the front end means you decide how you want to code out your life. You create the plans, wireframes, goals, and deadlines to reach the goals of how you want it to look on the front end. When you start fleshing it out and checking your progress and seeing the results– success seems more attainable.Side note: success is not based on what others say but you define for your own life. You are unique and you should ultimately do things you find enjoyment and happiness in. Of course legally : ). refer to Earl Nightingale videoOnce you see your successes in front of you, you feel great, look great, do great things, and now have created a discipline and habit in your life that you don't want to break easily. And that's it.For me now its all about life from the front end and what I want. This year I will change careers and be fully immersed into the world of Front End Web Development from the aspect of technology and my personal life. Honestly just being on the journey alone, focusing on this one thing, and being consistent with my goals and tasks I feel happy and excited already. Let alone I feel as I have a sense of purpose focusing on this one thing and learning to become not only good but great in this endeavor.I hope it does the same for you.But wait I don't want to leave you empty handed. In my Goodies section of my site I left some materials I think one trying to create a better life for themselves. Specifically what I call "my goal calendar".

I created this goal calendar to keep track of the top 3 goals I want to see in my life and to mark off every day to see how I am coming along in progress. I also placed some books and other resources that helped me in my journey to Front End Web Development or some books to help keep my mind stimulated. Development in itself is a great thing and as people we should always be progressing.Sad to say everyone doesn't so this leaves plenty of room for you to take the lead.So join me on the race to get to the top 5 in whatever endeavor you would like it to be.

When your ready here's how I can help
