My journey to becoming a Front End Web Developer

The Confusion?

It’s already February in this new year of 2018 and recently I have been thinking a lot to myself. Mostly due to the amount of workload I have on my shoulders along with the various avenues I have either found interests in or developed skills in trying to use them yet my income does not reflect my work.
Hmmmm, something doesn’t see, right. Ive been working to hard for what?…
However, I’ve been listening to many keynote speakers, reading books, and researching different resources on developing skills. It seems to me that there is a trending theme across the board. I find that many individuals who are known for something great are usually known for only one specific thing and focus to be great, and not just good, at that one thing–i.e. Tony Hawk, Warren Buffet, and Pixar.
I mean think about it, when you hear those names what is the first thing you think about them…
My point exactly!
They focus on one thing, hone and develop their craft or skill, and then present it to the world.

The Decision.

Understanding this concept now I have decided for this year to give up, or put on hold, many things I find an interests in. Just as a person can get a good nights sleep when they enter rem sleep, so too will I put my focus on developing one skill for this year—Front End Web Development.
So what this means is that anytime I’m not at work and I have free time I’m studying and working on this one skill. This will help me to develop myself so that I am able to transition my career position and ultimately change my lifestyle.
For me this is a  vital step in my life because I have been juggling too many things and felt whelmed by the mere extent of it all.
Therefore, I want to become a master of one and not a jack of all trades if I hone in on this one thing. I believe this will also make it easier on me and my mind because I don’t have to think about what I need to door study. In a sense its already planned out for me. I know what I need to start studying to get started: HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I am low key excited to begin and I think my mind is already starting to form ideas on other ways to create income from this skill besides just working a job or creating a service business model for it. Along with thus hyper focus there is a lot less stress on only one thing to develop.
As a great man, Earl Nightingale, look him up if you have never heard of him, once quoted “put all your eggs in one basket and watch it grow”. That is exactly what I intend to do for this year. For if I am honest with myself I’m tired of living below my means and struggling. Rather not seeing any results and greater amounts of progress of the potential and value I  have to offer through my income. I am a simply person and my logic doesn’t seem to match life, so 2018 has to be the year of  THE WONG LIFE change.
stay tuned for updates on this journey.
LETS GET IT!
